9 way Cobra Cable - Exhibition layout electrical connector

Are you building an exhibition layout? Then you need a Cobra Cable!

Designed and made by Hobby Trax this cable allows you to easily make electrical connections across baseboards that are designed to separate.

Supplied as two D sub breakout units with screw terminals and a 3ft connecting cable. One breakout board goes on either side of the baseboard joint allowing for easy screw terminal access for all your wiring. When dismantling the layout, simply unplug the Cobra Cable from either end.

Unlike thinner off-the-shelf cables ours is specially made from 20AWG cable meaning it is capable of carrying 3A per conductor and that means it will carry DCC bus and turnout motor control wires. The maximum current carrying capacity can be increased by using multiple terminals. Full details and wiring diagrams are supplied.

Available in 9, 15 and 25 way cables. Each also has an additional connection on the shield of the D connector usually used for an earth connection.

Supplied as a pack containing two D Sub breakout boards, a 3ft Cobra Cable and full wiring diagrams and instructions. Breakout boards also available individually.
